The Flicker of the Flame

This suspecting fellow was very cooperative when I approached with camera. I suspect he is a photo star in Costa Rico as he takes center stage in a rehab center.

Protecting my garden from pesky insects this guy is proudly ensconced in his nest he built the night before.

This image displays a golden long fin koi effortlessly gliding through the water entering a reflection of overhanging bamboo.

The magic of nature on display as this hummingbird was captured in just the right light demonstrating the translucency of its beating wings frozen in time.

Perfect in their stillness and camouflage this pair of toads patiently wait for passing insects which will be great night time snacks.

Landing on a branch for less than two seconds my shutter was faster, allowing for closer inspection of his green miniature fluorescent feathers.

These fish know when they are to be fed to gather in a tight group for a family photo.

"Welcome to my cave dwelling. I would shake hands but my finger pads would stick to you."

"I am a Cardinal but I don't attend the Church. I prefer to peck on this photographers windows at my reflection."

Hanging in my herb garden I almost missed this chance for a pic. His camouflage is perfect for hiding from prey but also on stalking.

A collage of color these frozen koi appear as a Monet painting when in motion. I consider the beauty as living moving art.

This is my room mate. Hand fed eight years ago he loves to wake me and ride on my shoulder. However he prefers seeds over tequila.
